Poem: An Answer To A Question

An Answer To A Question

I can find appeal for living in the city.

Although it does not appeal much to me.

A forest of buildings

barked with metal and glass

and human heartwood,

with only pockets of green

to sooth the occasional wild soul.

I can find appeal for living in the city.

but until we realize that

we need more than metal and glass,

you can find me living

where hearts are made of wood

and every soul is wild.
