The Scent of Pine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

–<\/p>\n\n

Each step taken, hand in hand<\/p>\n\n

impresses the pine needled floor<\/p>\n\n

with our tracks, side by side.<\/p>\n\n

Neither one of us in front<\/p>\n\n

or behind the other. Together.<\/p>\n\n

as the thick air grows dense<\/p>\n\n

sound drops like leaded weights,<\/p>\n\n

the fresh scent of evergreen is<\/p>\n\n

reminiscent of ascending aromatic butterflies<\/p>\n\n

until a gentle wind temporarily scatters them.<\/p>\n\n

With each step the weighty fragrant air<\/p>\n\n

impresses pine needle tracks<\/p>\n\n

upon our forest washed bodies<\/p>\n\n

erasing all concerns.<\/p>\n\n
